Welcome to The Little League Football Rules and Governance section of the Northfield Little League website. Little league Football will use this section to provide useful information and resources for your Little League, Teams, Members and Players.

About Little League Football

Little League Football is a non-profit, UK registered charitable organization which is currently based in Surrey, Kent and the West Midlands regions. Little League Football provides local youth football within their respective communities.

 

Affiliation

Little League football leagues are affiliated to their local County Football Associations. Northfield Little League are affiliated to the Birmingham County FA.

 

National Governing Body

Despite not being governed by The FA, Little League Football are governed/sanctioned by their own committee, the National Executive Committee known as the “NEC”. The NEC consists of unpaid volunteers elected by the member leagues at the National Annual General Meeting. A League Management Committee of similar structure also runs each league, each League will be responsible to hold their own AGM.

 

Child Protection & Welfare

The welfare and protection of each child is paramount and new volunteers are screened in accordance with F.A and National Little League guidelines. Each official members of Little League football will be over the age of 16 years and Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Checked, (formerly CRB).

 

Rules

Little League Football has its own rules and constitution, we play by FIFA's Laws of the Game and over the years our Little Leagues have adapted to the FA's rules and regulations. Each Little League may also make amendments to the rules at their AGM to create their own local rules
